Osaka I

Osaka, choc nie pozbawiona zabytkow, jest przede wszystkim nowoczesna metropolia. To chyba najbardziej zatloczone miejsce, jakie widzialem. Tysiace ludzi plynacych uregulowanymi korytami waskich ulic. Wszystko zatopione w upale i wilgoci, o ktorych zapomina sie szybko w przepychu gigantycznej handlowej dzielnicy. Najprawdopodobniej mozna kupic tu dowolny produkt z dowolnego panstwa swiata (np. lody z Turcji).
Trwa tu wlasnie duzy festwial. Ulice rozbrzmiewaja muzyka – jak ten koncert tradycyjnych bebniarzy.

Apart from having some monuments, Osaka is a modern metropolis. It’s probably the most crowded place I’ve ever seen. Umpteen of people flowing by the riverbeds of the narrow streets. Everything immersed in the heat and humidity, which you fast forget about in the splendor of the enormous market district. Probably it’s possible to buy here any product from any country from all over the world (e. g. ice-cream from Turkey).
A big culture festival is taking place in Osaka now. Streets resound with music – like this concert of the traditional drummers group.

Kyoto I

Japonia dla poczatkujacych II/Japan for the beginners II

Do zdolnosci niezbednych do przezycia nalezy (oprocz opanowania jazdy na rowerze lewa strona ulicy) jedzenie paleczkami. Do tej pory umiejetnosc te cwiczylem m. in. na:

  • makizushi (ryz w platkach z wodorostow z dowolnie komponowanym z owocow morza wnetrzem),

  • misoshiru - zupa, nie wiem wiecej,

  • somen - genialny wynalazek - cienki makaron przyrzadzony na zimno w orzezwiajacym sosie.
Nie wiem ile w doskonalym smaku tych potraw zaslugi japonskiej tradycji, a ile mamy goszczacej mnie aktualnie Akiko. Jak w domu.

One of the abilities wihich are indispensable for life in Japan (apart from riding a bicycle on the left side of the street) is using the chopsticks. Till now I've improved this skill on (among other things):

  • makizushi (rice in seaweed with some frutti di mare),

  • misoshiru - soup, I don't know more,

  • somen a stroke of genius - cold noodles in a refreshing souce.
I wonder how much is the result from the Japanese tradidion and how much is from the mother of Akiko, which is hosting me now. Feel like home.

Japonia dla poczatkujacych/Japan for the beginners

Lekcja Japonii zaczela sie w parku, ktory powstal w miejscu zrownanych z ziemia (w pokojowy sposob) pawilonow Expo 1970 w Osace. Podstawowe informacje:

  • waznym symbolem buddyzmu jest kwiat lotosu (hasu) - bylo ich kilka w parku,

Etap drugi/Stage two

Dr Berg-costam ze stacji Relaks Lufthansa Radio glebokim barytonem zalecil spozywanie duzej ilosci warzyw przy locie na wschod, a przy locie na zachod - bialka. Albo odwrotnie. W kazdym razie pomaga to w walce z jet-lagiem. Zjadlem jedno i drugie. Na wszelki wypadek.

Dr Berg-something from the Relax station of the Lufthansa Radio recommend eating big amounts of vegetables during the east-side flight and lot of proteins when fly west. Maybe just the opposite. Nevertheless, it should help in a fight with a jet-lag. I ate both. Just in case.
